COVID-19: Library Info & Resources

Library Response to COVID-19

General Information (Please check back for updates!)

In order to allow our staff to focus on the enormous task of assisting students and faculty as the University moves to modified instruction beginning March 23, the Mikkelsen Library services will be online only until further notice.

Our online resources are accessible 24/7, and library staff will be available during designated hours to conduct remote research consultations (via chat, Google Meet, Zoom), to assist in identifying and accessing online resources, and to offer learning support.

Please know we will be monitoring the needs of our community in the coming days and weeks, and we look forward to partnering with you at this time of extraordinary change, cooperation, and adaptation.

ILL is currently operating as usual. Remember that you can also request scans of journal articles and book chapters/sections that we physically own; we are happy to deliver these scans via email.

Returning Library Material:

Books and media can be returned to the book drop located on the portico on the campus-side of the library. If you have equipment or games to return, please call 605.274.4921 to arrange a drop-off time.
