Video Essays: Storyboards

Storyboards

Storyboard - a series of drawings or pictures that show the changes of scenes and actions for multimedia projects such as movies and television shows, video games, and presentations.

The storyboard in a video essay serves a similar purpose to an outline in a written essay. It helps the project creator organize thoughts, media, and message so that the finished video has the intended effect and packs as much meaning as possible into each shot. It is a way of pre-visualizing the video that can shorten the time spent editing and make for a more effective finished product.
